Artur Carvalho is a Portuguese drone filmmaker, aerial cinematographer and visual storyteller based in Lisbon. With a background in art direction, photography and film, his work explores the world from above, transforming landscapes, cities and human moments into cinematic visual narratives.
His images are defined by atmosphere, composition, movement and light — revealing places from unexpected perspectives, where scale, emotion and geometry meet. Through drone cinematography, Artur searches for more than beautiful views: he looks for rhythm, silence, texture and a sense of wonder.
Artur has worked as part of the drone team for a Netflix production and has had his work featured on Apple’s Instagram. His aerial filmmaking has also received international recognition, including first prize at the Jeju Drone Film Festival, and one of his series was selected among the Top 10 photo series of the DJI SkyPixel Awards 2026.
From fog-covered cities to dramatic coastlines, remote mountains and urban landscapes, Artur’s work captures the fragile relationship between people, nature and place.
