Rob is an Australian photographer, born and raised in Sydney but now based in the South-West region of Western Australia where he has lived for more than 40 years.
While he is passionate about photography and works across all genres, his most recent focus has been on capturing the fragile art created as natural forces shape the landscape around us. Visible only from the air and sometimes lasting just moments before they are erased and replaced in the restless flow of the elements, these patterns, textures and abstractions are unique environmental signatures representing evolving narratives of place.
Rob looks to convey energy within the frame and a sense of the world beyond it, whether it’s the energy of the subject in a dynamic portrait or the environmental energy in a landscape; whether it’s explicit in movement or implicit in mood.
