Rajarshi Banerji is an internationally famous wildlife photographer and Nikon India’s Brand Creator in Wildlife Photography. Rajarshi is an avid conservationist who has photographed wildlife for over 30 years in most parts of India, USA, Antarctica, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Norway, Namibia, Sri Lanka, South East Asia, Alaska, the Arctic Circle and Chile. He is a Chartered Accountant qualified from the United Kingdom and an industrialist by occupation. Despite his demanding work schedule, Rajarshi’s enduring passion for photographing the wild drives him to make 7 to 8 trips a year to the field.

Rajarshi's images have won numerous international awards over the past 20 years and have been widely published in the print and digital media in India, Europe, Australia and USA, including the covers of the National Geographic Traveller, Sanctuary Asia and countless other publications. In 2023, Rajarshi won awards at contests in Spain, Russia and at the prestigious DJMPC contest in India. In 2024, he again won an award at the esteemed Memorial Maria Luisa Contest in Spain, as well as DJMPC contest and was appointed as a Jury by French Photographic Federation for their Coupe de France Nature Images Contest. In 2025, Rajarshi Banerji won 5 major international awards, including the Grand Prize of 35th Memorial Maria Luisa Contest and was the first photographer from Asia ever to win this prestigious award. He also won the World Nature photography Awards; Global Big Cats Contest of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, GoI, World Black and White Photography Awards and last but not the least, Golden Turtle Contest in Moscow. In 2026, Rajarshi has won the World Nature Photography Awards again.

Rajarshi has also been affiliated as a Climate Change Researcher with Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and has presented highly applauded research papers on wildlife and climate change in USA, South Africa, China and various countries of S-E Asia.

Rajarshi has authored a unique coffee table book on Kaziranga National Park that has been published by the Forest Department, Government of Assam and the book has been placed in the Library of Congress by the United States Government.

Rajarshi donates his images for propagation of awareness about wildlife among school children and strives every day to learn something new in wildlife photography.
