Jassen Todorov is the Grand Prize Winner of the 2018 National Geographic Photo Contest. His images have been published and featured by National Geographic, the Guardian, Telegraph, Times, Daily Mail, Metro, Daily Mirror and Digital Photographer (UK), Los Angeles Times, Wired, Weather Channel, NPhoto, PDN, MSN, Bing, Yahoo, Figaro, GEO, L\'Obs and LaDepeche (France), News and Terra Mater (Austria), Corriere della Sera (Italy), Dainik Bhaskar and Better Photography (India), China News Service, CCTV, Photoworld, Xinhua News and Numero (China), Avenuel (Korea), among others, and exhibited at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport (USA), the Somerset House and the Heathrow Express, London (UK), the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh (UK), Kuala Lumpur Publika (Malaysia) and the Port of Thessaloniki (Greece). An active pilot and flight instructor, he specializes in aerial photography, featuring both popular and remote parts of the world. Recent awards include top prizes in the Smithsonian Photo Contest, the International Photographer of the Year (IPOTY), Moscow International Foto Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards, PDN World in Focus Awards, International Photography Awards (IPA, New York), the Sony World Photography Awards (London).
