I was born in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands and spent my romantic childhood at the airport in Chotěbor, because both my parents were sport pilots, and also at a cottage without electricity and running water in beautiful and clean nature. This dealt the cards of my life. I started climbing mountains and flying over them in a hang glider. Such a feeling of freedom and adventure, with the occasional curious bird of prey joining my wing, is indescribable, it just has to be experienced. Initially I was an amateur filmmaker and my films about flying and hiking won several awards. I very much appreciate the Barrandov Studios Award and two nominations for the prestigious International Mountaineering Film Festival. After some time, however, I started to focus exclusively on photography. For several years I worked as an aerial photographer, which was also a great adventure. Five books were published from my aerial photographs and one of them won the grand prize at the 21st Autumn Book Fair in 2011. My most recent book, SOUTHERN MORAVIA THE BEAUTIFUL known, Unknown, was published in 2022 and is a combination of aerial and ground photography. My photographic work has won several prestigious awards in major competitions such as Sony World Photography Awards, World Masters of Photography Award, reFocus Awards, ND Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards, MonoVisions Photography Awards, Chromatic Awards and others. I also got to see the other side from a juror's perspective, which is a very rewarding experience.
