MatÃas Delacroix, born in 1989 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Chile, is a staff photographer for the Associated Press, based in Panama. With over nine years of experience, he has covered topics related to migration, social conflicts, and major events across Latin America and the Caribbean. His notable assignments include the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse and the earthquake in Haiti, the 2024 conflict between Israel and Lebanon, several presidential elections, as well as an extensive five-year documentation project while living in Venezuela. His work, recognized with awards from POY and FIBA, has been exhibited internationally and includes collaborations with organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, and the World Food Programme.
