Matias Delacroix was born in 1989 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and grew up in Chile where he studied graphic design and art history. Working for over eight years with international news agencies covering Latin America's and the Caribbean's top stories, as well as sports, he is now based in Venezuela. Collaborating with the Associated Press, Doctors Without Borders (NGO), UNOCHA (United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) and Bloomberg. Delacroix focuses on the issues of migration, daily life and social unrest, protests and presidential elections in Chile and Brazil, such as the aftermath of the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise and Haiti's earthquake.
Delacroix's work was honored with first place by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and Pictures of the Year (POY) recognized his 2021 portfolio with an Award of Excellence in the category of Photographer of the Year.
