Chris Castor is a filmmaker, VFX/motion graphics/traditional artist, and drone pilot based in Woodward, OK. Chris has quietly garnered awards and shared his drone tales at film festivals in New York City, LA, Frankfurt, and a few more places he never thought he'd go.
Chris wears many hats at The Skit Guys and Skit Guys Studios, where he's learned a thing or two about the art of filmmaking and storytelling. He has sung and played music since he was young, mostly with his sister, Bobbi. He is also a traditional artist who has created artwork for a few celebrities including NBA star Kevin Durant and Duck Dynasty stars Phil and Kay Robertson. He's just happy making cool things.
He is the director and co-founder of the Thunderbird Drone Festival in Oklahoma. It is Oklahoma’s first and only drone film/photo festival and drone technology event that centers around showcasing amazing aerial artistry, teaching about drone technology, and enjoying other exciting aspects of drones such as drone racing. The festival has grown each year, welcoming attendees from all over the US and internationally, and has brought in special guests like the FAA, Oklahoma State University, the United States Air Force, Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission, Oklahoma Film and Music Offices, and many more organizations to be a part of the festival.
Chris's three favorite people in the world are his kids, Kai and Lucy, and his awesome wife, Callie. Between family time and creative sessions, Chris is just a guy who's thankful for the chance to bring a bit of beauty into the world, whether it's through the lens, on canvas, or with a guitar in hand.
