Pål Hermansen works as a photographer and author with focus on art and nature In his work, he focuses on nature - related art, the interaction between man and nature, environmental issues, existential landscapes and documentary nature photography.
Pål Hermansen has written and/or illustrated approx. 40 books and is one of ten top photographers presented in the international portfolio book Masters of Nature Photography (BBC / Natural History Museum 2013). His photos and writings have been presented in publications such as National Geographic Magazine, ORION, GEO, BBC Wildlife Magazine and Forum Naturfotografie (GDT). Hermansen has garnered a number of prizes in international photo competitions, such as World Press Photo, Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Big Picture and European Nature Photographer of the Year. His work has been exhibited in many countries. He is an honorary member of the Association of Norwegian Nature Photographers (NN) and a member of the Norwegian Art Photographer´s Association (FFF), represented in the collection of the Norwegian Museum of Photography (Preus Museum) and in the project 100 Norwegian Photographers (100norwegianphotographers.no).
