My name is Carlo Alberto Conti, and I was born in La Spezia in December of a now "distant" 1978. Since I was a child, thanks to my city's geographical location, I had the opportunity to experience and love nature in all its forms. One day, browsing through old family photo albums, I found some macro shots of small insects. I was deeply amazed and impressed to see how nature has created, even in tiny insects, an infinite variety of shapes and colors. Those shots, dating back to the 1980s, remained hidden in my memory until 2006, the year in which, thanks also to the advent of the first digital SLR cameras, my passion for nature photography exploded within me. I then began taking my first macro shots of classic butterflies and insects, and then moved on to bird and wildlife photography. Over the years, things have changed. I had less time to dedicate to animals, but above all, the passing of a great photographer friend made me change direction, towards another branch of photography: landscape. Today, this genre engages me more and more every day, leading me, along with my family, to travel abroad more and more frequently. Seeing the world through my SLR is what makes me feel most like myself. There's nothing that makes me freer and happier than admiring a new photo spot with my two children and Marika, framing and shooting alongside them. Bringing home a new piece of the world in this way is what makes me feel most alive!
Since February 2018, I have been collaborating with the photo agencies Clickalps and Getty Images.
From June 2019 to spring 2022, I was appointed Ambassador for FEISOL Europe, a leading brand in the production and sale of tripods and photographic accessories.
In December 2019, I was named an Ambassador for NiSi Italia, a leading brand in the production and sale of PHOTOGRAPHIC FILTERS.
In 2019, I was selected as a beta tester for the Tonality Masks TM Panel, a popular and innovative Photoshop plug-in.
In 2020, I was named an Ambassador for f-stop, a world-leading brand in PHOTOGRAPHIC BACKPACKS and accessories.
In spring 2022, I was named an Ambassador for Fotopro, a top brand for tripods and photography accessories.
Since 2025, I have been leading photography trips abroad for Photo-Courses.
