The frozen Danube River near Russe, Bulgaria. This phenomenon is rare, especially when the river froze completely. The picture is taken at dusk at a very low temperature (-12oC). To the right of the picture are the lights of the town of Russe, and to the left is the Romanian river-coast.I liked this contrast between the ice blocks in the river and the lights of the city, which from the sky look like a melted lava.
