On february 8th 2024, a 6th volcanic eruption in less than a three years span took place on the Reykjanes peninsula, south west of Iceland. These three last eruptions becoming an actual threat to vital infrastructures, like this road in the direct vicinity of the geothermal powerplant of Svartsengi.
